Seems to be good a price but I am hesitant to put an order down as this title is not being developed by Rocksteady.

Basically NO incentive to pre-order any game these days, what with the Aliens debacle, amongst others. It's not like the prices will ever rise either, its a continuous downward trend.

      • I agree - pre-ordering is really just for the impatient. Just look at GTA5, you wait just one day after release and you can find it cheaper.

        Very true.

If you can somehow overlook the fact that the majority of sequels and reboots of the once-successful franchises you're buying have had their intellectual property sold to another development team/bought out by another company, have been consolised to death and were typically developed for a console first and ported to PC, and will have horrendous launch day issues (read: first 2 months at least) such as product activation failing, game servers being overloaded, game-breaking bugs and instability, unoptimized performance, poor multiplayer netcode, etc…

Then you still have to ask yourself why are you paying such inflated prices for, at-best Beta stage software, that has pre-launch content deliberately held off from release so it can be packaged into DLC to resell functionality that should have been included at launch?
Not to mention the outright lies most developers feed the fanbase about promises of reliving the glory of the original franchise/series that never, ever come to fruition.

The 3 worst offenders in recent years have to be Diablo III (bar none the worst gaming launch in the last 5 years at least), SimCity, and BF3 the first 3 months post-launch.
