  • What was the price previously? It seems like a good deal.

    • Hi Dice,

The previous price we had was $135/month with a $100 setup fee and we've also reduced that setup fee to $50 for this deal.

      • Updated your title to reflect your $50 set-up fee.

        • Thanks.

  • If you want a windows server platform, that starts from $300 a year (or $25 per month extra)

    • Yea that's normally due to the licencing

  • Looks pretty good, what options do you have if we're transferring a VPS with WHM, WHMCS and existing customers?

    • +2

      Hi luisvsm,

A cPanel standalone license for a dedicated server starts from $40/month but you can easily setup your own virtual platform on these dedicated servers and run your own virtual servers to be able to get the cPanel license for $15/month.

If you're an existing virtual server customer and if you choose the same virtual platform to have setup on your new dedicated server with us, we can migrate the virtual server over to it for you, not a problem.

      • Sorry I was a little vague with my question, we'd be bringing our VPS from another provider. I'll have to do some research into whether setting will be worth it for us.

        Thanks

        • We wouldn't be able to move a virtual server across from another provider unfortunately.

If you do have WHM though, the migration tool inside WHM is very easy to use and can move all of your cPanel accounts over to your new server with us without a hassle. It will also move the DNS zone files over for you, e-mail accounts, MySQL databases and everything else associated with the account for you.

  • If I have a legit copy of windows can I install that myself? :P

    • +1

      Hi Xetrok

We can complete the Windows server installation for you and you can use your own Windows license. Because these are dedicated servers, you can use your own Windows license.

      • Sounds good

  • Is it possible to buy a few and hook them up to load balancers? How much to include a load balancer?

    • Hi geek001

We do not provider any load balancing hardware just yet I'm sorry.

  • So Windows server access would be done through remote desktop?

    • Hi kearnsy

This would be correct. Once we've completed the install of Windows server for you and assigned the IP address to the server for you, we will enable Remote Desktop for you to log into the server.

  • Do you guys still make customers give 1 month notice when cancelling plans?

  • +1

    Hi ddmmh,

We have since changed our policy and only require the cancellation notice to be submitted 14 days now and not 28 days.

  • love exigent. loyalty user here!

What's the price for additional IPs? 2 IPs are not enough

    • Hi pindleskin

Great to hear from you again :)

A /30 is allocated to the dedicated server which gives you 2 usable IP address or a /29 can be allocated giving you 6 usable IP addresses. This is only $28/month for a /29 allocation.

  • I can't find the exact details you have here, on your website

  • make it $50/month and i'll submit right away

    • Keep dreaming!

  • Anyone want to go quarters on one?

  • 100Mbit Network Port for a server?

  • I am hesitant to sign up with so many complaints on the net regarding down times, DOS attacks and slow support ticket processing

    • Hi Wish,

I am not aware of the slow ticket support responses. Since November last year, we now have a number of staff that are available 24 hours, 7 days a week to respond to tickets. We actually have some tickets coming in from customers overseas and our technicians are responding to them in under 7 minutes and it's only 2am.

We have had some issues regarding DDoS attacks and this is been related to those that run gaming servers on our network. As of the 23rd of September, we will now be allowing game servers to be run on our infrastructure anymore.

Down times are a thing of the past for us. We did have unscheduled outages quite a while ago and we have since done some major improvements across our network to ensure that we have both power and network redundancy for our customers. We utilise 2 carriers in each of our data centres (Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane) and also a peering provider in each of our data centres as well.

This evening we had a outage to our Sydney network as we just completed the final stages of our core infrastructure upgrade to this data centre which now will see no more outages in Sydney just as there are no network or power outages in our Melbourne & Brisbane data centres.

In fact, as we continue to grow we always ensure that we provide the best redundancy for our customers and while we do this, we are always finding ways to provide the quickest/fastest route path possible for our customers. We have some of our customers within Sydney having only 8 to 12 ms ping replies since we recently changed carriers in Sydney.

Hopefully this has been able to help clear up any questions or concerns that you might have had but if not, please always feel free to drop us an email anytime and we be happy to answer any questions for you.

      • Did you mean to say you don't allow game servers to run anymore?

        • Hi Wish

Apologies… yes, that would be correct. We won't be allowing game servers to run on our infrastructure anymore.

        • Damn, that's exactly what I was planning to do.

  • Where exactly can I order this product? The closet equivalent that I can see on the website is "Standard DEDI-1", but its specifications are quite different from what were posted here. It would be great if anyone can provide a link that takes us directly to the product/order page.
