Keep an eye on the front page because that's where a sub $300 new laptop will be if it exists. If you don't mind refurbished have a look at Grays Online. They have plenty under $300 with 12 months warranty. Eg. http://www.graysonline.com/retail/x401u-wx017s-r/computers-a…
Used to be quite a lot of $300 dollar notebooks. Wonder what's happened to the prices… perhaps DRAM and hard drive costs have gone up to actually affect laptop pricing.
There have been a few sub $400 laptops, but no sub $300 that I can recall (unless you count Netbooks)
That really hurt my eyes.. I demand compensation!!
