This promo price is good but I avoid Godaddy because of the elephant thing and support for SOPA.
+1 for www.namecheap.com who sometimes have good deals.
Www.internetbs.net doesn't have a special, but they are good and whois privacy is included in the price.

Have used godaddy for 5 years. No issues so far.
Do this if you want your domain stolen and held hostage.
Something to beware of with GoDaddy: You'll need to spend 10 minutes clicking through pages trying to sell you overpriced add-on options. They make it as difficult as possible to buy only what you want to buy on their site.
Say what? It's pretty easy to ignore the add ons. Adds a few seconds x 4 or 5 screens.
I just got a renewall from Network Solutions for my domain. I bought it in a sale for $6 a couple of years ago now they want $US37 for the renewal. But I doubt I'll go to Go Daddy, I've heard too many horror stories.
