Feature: Polling / Votes per bargain on how many OZb'z have bought?

After a few really big bargains/commented on offers (i.e the Kogan s4, the Lenovo e531) with >500+ posts, I'd really like to know how many people (of registered users) actually bought the bargain..

How about a poll on each bargain - where users can tell us they bought it?

Thoughts? :)

  • That's one of the reasons why I only vote on positive on deals I actually receive. If I'm still waiting for it, I don't vote.

The other reason is so I can vote negative if it goes stale instead of just revoking.

It's not that important of a feature to have. Anyone can lie about it, people will forget and it really doesn't matter how many people bought the product. The votes are a good enough indication.

  • I "generally" only vote on deals i have purchased. But yes, would be interesting to see who actually bought one

I vote on deals I think are a 'good thing' to have posted, even if I have no interest in the item per se. For instance, if a poster goes to the trouble of taking photographs of a deal, or goes into a lot of detail to describe the deal, well those are things that I think the OzBargain community should have and hence I want to reward the poster and the behaviour itself.

For my own privacy, I would not tick a box to say whether I own or have bought the product. I am already far too wary of what Google Adsense and other ad networks can tell about me, and where that information eventually ends up.
