Cheaper than what I would get (Sony umbrella staff - $ 1,631.32)
This is secondary TV upgrading from a 42" Sanyo, I was aiming for the best picture quality/CMR/etc. The R5's from Sony this year are pretty ordinary, I think that 50" you linked is the lowest one they make? I dread comparing the specs on it with the series 7 Samsung.
I'm not going to upgrade the main TV until 55" 4k is under $3000 and games are made for it =)
Well done mate. We waited until we got a 75" 4k for under $2500. Past me can be proud AF.
I'm not quite sure what the purpose of this thread is - ego stroke? I mean, if someone told you it was a bad deal you'd be all cut, and if someone tells you something else is more tempting you already have a justification. You've paid the money, got the item, now use it, don't need validation.
http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/116111 - 50" bravia at $1611.60 looks more tempting for ME!
But if your happy with it, thats all that really matters.
Searching the tv in google shows bing lee with the price of $1,899 so at least you grabbed it cheaper than that :)
IMHO I think i'd want bigger than a 46" tv for the money/money range your paying, but not everyone wants or has the space for 50-55"+ screens. So good luck and I hope you get some enjoyment out of your new tv. :)
