  • As healthy as they're not, try converting all the OZBargain boffins of their Dominos.

  • aldis has had that $1 for 5 packets thing since year dot

    • Are they the same ?

      • better

        singapore made vs. indonesia

    • Those are chicken/beef, not mi goreng. They have mi goreng as of this year (around april?) and they are $1.79 i think for a 5pack

  • Numerous time they are going for $1.5 for 5 packs
for ozbargain this is still NOT a deal - 0.3 cents compared to 0.33 cents per pack :-)

  • +1

they're $8-$10 at the asian groceries for a 30 or sometimes 40 box

    • Check where they're made. I've seen IndoMie noodles that say made in China, and others that say made in Indonesia, same packaging.

      • yeh, checked, doubted mine were made in china, as i bought it from the indo mart

        • EDit that, I mean, NOT made in china, as I bought it from indo mart, (only genuine indonesian stock there)

Cook Indomie Goreng with two eggs and some spring onion and you have a healthy meal. Good for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. And it costs only around $1.

    • +4

throw in some diced fresh tomato and even some mushrooms and your starting to get gourmet :)

    • Nope. High in sodium, MSG, fat.. and that oil is awful. Empty carbs. It's $1 for a reason.

"Famous brands of Indonesian instant ramen noodles like Mi Goreng Indomie are banned in Taiwan because these noodles contain hazardous chemical preservatives methyl p-hydroxybenzoate and benzoic acid. These chemicals are not supposed to be used on food products.

Taiwan Health Department banned these products also banned Indonesian sweet soy sauce from the same brand. If a person consumed these products on a regular basis, it will result in kidney failure."

  • But it's good enough to inspire rap songs :-)
