Smorgys Bundoora fire

I used to love going to Smorgys. I went to various ones around Melbourne. I loved the all you can eat deal and the drinks were usually reasonably priced.

Smorgys Bundoora has been closed for ages and it went through a couple of name changes before it closed for good. There was a fire there this afternoon which has destroyed much of what was left after the vandals got to it recently.

So are any Smorgys still around? Are there any other decent all you can eat places left in Melbourne. I rarely go to restaurants these days as it is difficult to do with a young family but I'm hoping to get back to this in the next couple of years. I guess all you can eat is an idea that most OzBargain members would like.

    Avoid chinabar Buffet. Crappy service, average food, does nothing to justify the price. Try Kitchen Workshop in Crown for better value buffet.

    If you want something a bit more upmarket, try Conservatory in Crown or Melba at Langham.

    The Conservatory has a nicer ambiance because of the very tall ceilings brightly lit area.
    Melba has better service in my opinion and more seafood and sushi/sashimi.

    The Templestowe hotel and Roxburgh park hotel have all you an eat buffets that are reasonable and both fairly local to bundoora

    Melba has lobster mornay every tuesday nights!
    use the entertainment card for 25%
