Do note that Amazon links aren't really referral links. You have to be in Amazon associate program to have it (rather than just an Amazon customer). See participation requirement. Also on the sign up under step 2 you need to fill out your "Website Profile", which I am always interested to find out what everyone is using (just want to make sure people don't claim ozbargain as their site). To us, Amazon Associate links are more like affiliate rather than referral links.
Side note: our definitions of "Affiliate links": links by site affiliates that pay real money for items purchased by 3rd party. "Referral links": links by site users that pay site credit for items purchased by 3rd party, and 3rd party might sometimes get benefit.
On OzBargain, affiliate links: NO and referral links: YES with limits (not in comment, maximum 1 post per day, 2 posts per week). Take GMG for example. Recommend a friend = okay, but affiliate links through CommissionJunction = will get unpublished. Amazon has been an exception, and I know there are quite a bit of confusions around especially with terminology (as we are marking referral posts with "AFF"). But we had a discussion with the moderators a few days ago regarding this, and will hopefully clean up the mess by the end of this year.
So meanwhile, Amazon Associate links on OzBargain — "still fine" although under review. I think creating wiki entries for these are excessive.
