Cheapest prices for Steam games! (L4D etc)

130

Hi All,

Found this awesome site recently. Buy steam games internationally, where other countries get cheaper licenses.

Save money on every game!

Eg, L4D 25USD!

Orange Box: $20AUD
CS:S & DoD: $23AUD

Bargains :D

SUPER BARGAIN TIP:
Play around with the exchange rates. Currently you will get a better price if you pay in USD. Save around $5 usually.

  • Has this been checked to actually work?

    Steam region code their games.

  • Yeah, verified by whirlpool.

  • I would still suggest caution and getting a guarantee from the seller that this will work - I bought the Orange Box from a similar site and it wouldn't register on steam, but since I'd made them guarantee it, the seller refunded at no cost to me.

  • how are you suppose to read it? its some language I don't understand. Is there a language setting?

  • oh found its at the bottom of the page

  • its all over the whirlpool gaming section if you're paranoid. Although, be safe and read the product page.

  • The last few comments in Whirlpool are from a guy complaining that he hasn't recieved his key yet.

    • they say you should email if that happens. cust service is open for 10 hours

who knows why it happened to him.

  • bookmarked!

  • They are having a futher 22% markdown on L4D till Sunday.

  • L4d I got for $30au and it worked. Sweet deal.

  • Bought from them before.
Quite fast with emailing the key

  • I'm having flashbacks to AllOfMp3 (cheap, Russian, could be of questionable legality etc):
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AllOfMP3.com

EDIT: OK it is Polish, but it supports Russian :P

    • yeah but MP3s are very different from steam games :p

  • Everyone go to: http://g2play.net. It's the same site but in english and the prices are in euro.

    • fixed.

      thanks mods

You may get the key but the question is how long will it last. For all you know Steam could lock accounts using these keys, in a week, a month, 6 months time or a year who knows…

    • why would they?

Because they may be intended for that area in Europe.

A similar scenario occurred with the Orange Box in Russia and Thailand.

So if more and more people buy from g2play then you never know…Steam might do the same thing..

Kinda risky if you already have Steam games on your account.

From above, g2play is an unauthorized reseller which means Steam can deactivate games bought from them if they want and there's nothing you can do if you can't get your money back since they weren't authorized to sell them anyway, and you took that risk in buying off them. I think that's how it is anyway.

        • decent points manbear.

Risk worth taking for some games. For L4D i just saved $60, and if it gets de-activated i'll just reduce it to playing with bots or something.

There is some risk involved yes. If they de-activated it though, I think it would create a massive shitstorm.

          • @walugi: Well you can get a copy from the UK for only $40 on eBay and it's 100% legit and allowed. I know for a fact that the US, UK or Aus versions are all accepted.
