    Aren't we lucky that there is no in-app purchase for the dictionary. Imagine $0.99 for 100 searches, or $2.99 to add audio, etc.

    Well the dictionary comes up as Free in iTunes web preview, but in the iTunes Store it is coming up as $0.99 :$

    • +5

      AU = $0.99
      US = $0.00

      Exchange rate: AUD 0.99 = USD 0.00? :p

  • Dictionary is free on US iTunes, not Aus iTunes

    • -6

      Doesn't mean you can't buy it? :p

      • If you switch to the US iTunes Store, then you can download it for free.

        • -6

          Yeah, i've already done that…
          Several hours ago…

    • Apple thinks it's always fair to rip off Australians as everybody else do it without any trouble.

  • Dictionary free on first page, but says 0.99 once you select in itunes

  • Oxford Dictionary is not FREE now.

  • Please update that Oxford Dictionary is free only on itunes US

  • How can we go to the US itunes store. Please advise of the steps Thanks in advance

  • Yeah, Oxford Dictionary now back to .99c

  • One of the best free eDictionary's would be WordWeb http://www.wordwebsoftware.com/iPhone.html

    Nothing is free.

  • 99c is still worth it for the dictionary.

    • 99c is still worth it for the dictionary.

      Google is your fren.

      • I had the same thought initially. But I suppose with this you don’t have to be connected to WiFi or 3G!
        Edit: That, and I've still got more than a few dollars left from the free iTunes cards!

    • I prefer this one: http://sl.joeylau.me/1cDG9vU

  • After switching iTunes store to US… I got "This ID is only valid for purchase in AU iTunes store"….. no deal

    • Lol, yeah, you need a US account. Just log in with your US account and it switches stores automatically.

  • Once you switch to US store it works, just downloaded…:)

  • You won’t be able to switch countries if you have any remaining iTunes account balance, and you would get a message that says “You have a store credit balance; you must spend your balance before you can change stores.” This limitation also applies to accounts with an active iTunes Match subscription.
