Jewellery factory sells direct - pay what the shop pays

34

There is a jewellery factory in Caloundra, QLD who is selling their stock at wholesale prices - what the shop pays!!

You can visit the showroom or purchase on-line.

I just purchased a solitaire diamond ring for $550 that should $1400 in the shops, I had a jeweller friend check the value and it is fair dinkum. Going back when "pennies from Kevin" arrives.

Jewelry valuations are for insurance purposes and never what they are "worth".

New user account with sales pitch rap of the deal all smells of not really a bargain to me.

  • C'mon MoonDoggyDude, be upfront when ur flogging ur own wares on OzBargain.

  • I think I've got realiable source to say that you actually run that shop instead of a genuine customer. Why not just declare yourself as the merchant?

    • Firstly a reply concerning a conflict of interest….
I live in the area, I want to promote the industries in the area although I have to admit I do deliveries in the area. I got no special deal, I just went into their temporary retail showroom. The price I paid was wholesale, I have seen the original prices on old catalogues.

Secondly I didnt mention anything about valuations, but you're probably right but in any case, I will present my catalogue to the insurance assessor when/if I need to claim - afterall, the valuation covers the replacement cost.

This jewelers does not appear on the Jeweler's Association of Australia's website, even though they claim to be a member.

There are only two JAA jewelers in Caloundra and neither match this address, phone number, or company name.

Could be an oversight, but still makes me nervous…
