Hello everyone, I'm slightly confused with regard to whether you have to wait for order pick-up confirmation emails before you go into store to pick up an order.
When you get notices such as "We'll email you as soon as your order is ready for pickup" do you wait or head into store?
I ask this because I missed the K400R deal (I was early to the deal) as I was waiting for the order confirmation email, and stock ran out (and I am on back order, hopefully to get the product). Now some people have claimed that you don't need to wait for the order confirmation email, and that you can just rock up with your order number and personal ID, and get your order.
So I tried this with the Philips CitiScape DOWNTOWN order, and went into store (250 Parramatta Rd, Auburn) before the confirmation email, and they told me that I had to wait for the order confirmation or they can't give it to me (as it hasn't been processed, yada yada yada), and they also said they had no stock.
Therefore I'm confused with regard to this issue, and just wanted to know what others think/experience with this issue.
Also is it better to just cope up the delivery charge instead? I mean do you sort of get more assurance/priority/chance of getting the product if you opt for delivery instead of pick-up?
Talk about your experiences with it, at different stores (HN, DSE, etc), different locations and different staff members.
Thank you, and will be interested in hearing what people have to say.
Also, Love Ozbargain and the money it saves us (Though highly debateable considering the unnessary things that we don't need but still buy).
Id ring first
I ordered online before and never go a confirmation
I popped into the local store and they new nothing
I gave them the copies of my email and order
they got the stuff off the shelf
hopeless
It seems the order goes to the most local store when ordering online
but they don't seem to care about it!
