Sorry, but those prices are hardly normal.

This 4.3" one is $109 at GG. The one at Hectorville, SA is giving away a free hard case with each purchase.

If you don't need traffic updates, this is a 4.3" one for $84 or this is a 5" one for $99

All of these have lifetime map updates

    • Cheers, I somehow missed them.

  • good price

  • might as well pay 20 bucks more and get the TomTom GO500 fromm good guys

  • This one (http://www.dicksmith.com.au/in-car-navigation/garmin-nuvi-52…) is $101 at Dicksmith with free lifetime maps until 2 Sept. I don't own it or know someone who does so I cant comment on it

  • Good unit at a good price but the Garmin GPS 2597LMT is listed at $178 (at HN and GG), for an extra $9 get bluetooth support and voice input.

Bought a Garmin the other day from dick smith
    Very disappointed with it
The Maps they use are rubbish
Could not find my parents place
the suburb is WRONG so when I type in the Suburb then the street
it tells me it does not exist
    Doesn't even offer alternatives
they used to use whereis maps but now its Navteq and I am unimpressed

    Will return mine next week

  • Try Navman before returning Garmin :)

Navman arnt much better. Had the 5inch xl80t was rubbish. Best gps iv found is the garmin nuvi older model. Aldi 5 inch was rubbish also.

My Aldi's stopped working after 2 weeks of use. At least I had no issues with refund.
Navman is just some engineer's joke which gone into production. I'd rather navigate by stars than using it again.

    • I can imagine you carrying a sextant and standing up through a sunroof to take sightings of the stars in peak hour traffic!
