Bulk toothbrushes for kids

Our school are doing a Christmas Shoeboxes charity thing where we put together shoeboxes filled with various items for kids in other countries.

I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on where I could get toothbrushes that are suitable for children in bulk (not hundreds, but more than a couple) at a cheaper-than-supermarket price??

Thanks

my kids school just did this. my local terry white chemist had a 3 pack for $1.99.

threw in a 3 pack in each shoe box.

$1.99 is nothing for what it provides.

There is shipping on that though… I did see Aldi have 4 pk kids toothbrush each with a lid for $1.99. Are you sending toothpaste too? Or some baking soda.

Thanks to those that responded. Altomic, I know there are some inexpensive ones around but I was thinking of buying enough to supply all the boxes with toothbrushes, so was hoping to be a bit less out of pocket.

Donga100 have you used aliexpress before? The reviews seem to be great or terrible, not much in between.

Nynaeve, those ones look really good and shipping is only $10, they might be a winner :) Sadly I live in the land of the Aldi-less. We aren't able to send toothpaste, I guess because of restrictions on shipping liquids and the like.

Thanks for the help guys, much appreciated :)

    • Sorry, haven't personally used them yet. It's a bit like buying from ebay stores as it is all individual sellers, customer service varies between sellers.

    • find a shop (e.g. terry white chemist)that sells inexpensive toothbrushes and explain that what you are wanting to do and see if they will sell you for cost price or near cost price.

  • The local dentist may part with his freebies from colgate for such a good cause.

    • Either that, or see if you can buy them through your dentist via a dental supplier.

  • Out of interest, in case anyone else is looking for toothbrushes, there are the ones I ended up buying. Bargain!

If anyone is going to Asia, they are super cheap if bought there (Colgate branded ones were 50c each in India, even cheaper for generic brands of course). Otherwise, ask people to pick up and collect the freebies from hotels / airlines etc throughout the year too. I collect these (and beauty products) at hotels and donate them to Ronald McDonald House for families which have turned up in a hurry and might not have basic toiletries.
