Anyone try FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn?

  I signed up for the beta but the downloader would freeze after about 10mb. Looks good - but I'll wait a few months for the servers to free up and hope for free trials

  I am playing it at the moment. They still have plenty of server issue at the moment (overwhelmed with users but should be good next week)

  Love the graphic and music. It's also less frustrating/tedious compared to the other MMORPGs. Only hate the long-can't-be-bothered quest texts/dialogues and lame quests (but most MMORPGs do)

  Only level 16 so can't comment much

  I joined the open beta, and felt it was 90% the same as RIFT.
  If it's your kind of game, but dont want to pay the fee, RIFT is a pretty good Free to Play alternative

  music is awesome, graphics are good but it takes so god dam long for the story to kick in and you are stuck doing the same old mmo style quests but with a crap ton more dialoge thrown on top, i stopped playing it about 4 days in to the beta

  isnt worth the sub imo, if your looking for a good mmo with awesome story, no subscription and is updated consistantly check out guild wars 2, the game is amazing the only downside that i have with that game is theres no raiding system in the game, now that aside the game has major updates every two weeks, such as dungeons, zones, minigames and world chances every 2 weeks

  if your looking for a good mmo to try guild wars 2 is my suggestion till maybe everyquest next or elderscrolls online come out, they look good

  or if your looking for the same old style of mmos give wow,rift,swotor or tera a try, they good if you looking for those standed raise to end game then raid grind for gear :)

  Its an amazing game and very different to other MMO's at the moment. (I found WoW, Rift, Guild Wars, Star wars etc really boring)

  It does take some time to get interesting though so don't give up straight away, this is mostly because you are learning about the game from 1-10.

  You can't say "try RIFT or Guild Wars 2 because there is no sub"

  They are completely different games. Pay the $30 for the game and a free month, then try RIFT or Guild Wars 2, you'll either love or hate Final Fantasy XIV and there isn't an alternative game if you don't want to pay the sub.
