[Android] FREE App of The Day - Runtastic Road Bike Pro, Usually $5.49

500
APPOFTHEDAY(inCAPITALS)

Today's Android free app of the day. Just download the Pro version, then when installed, click on the app, go into settings and select "Enter promotion code" and type in APPOFTHEDAY in capital letters.

Don't know anything about the app and not really my thing, but I'm sure some people will find it interesting. Most reviews rate it at 5 stars and overall its got 4.7 stars.

Enjoy.

You actually need to download the free version to put in the code to upgrade it to pro.
    Pro version still $5.49.

    Free version here:
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.runtastic.…

  • Edit: beaten to it…

  • Ooppssss, yep what they said. Thanks for that.
I've updated the link above as well.

  • Please note that the promo code does not need to be in caps, shouting @ Runtastic is not required.

    • Interesting, in the summary i got on the phone it says in capitals. anyway, as long as it works one way or another.

      • I am sure it works with Caps too.

  • Awesome, just what I need.

    Cheers.

    • No. Android only.

Good application; but you might check out Strava as well especially if you want to compare with other riders.

Yep, Strava seems better and is always free.

    Questions I have are:

So what happens when I change my Android phone?
Do I get to keep this free "Runtastic Road Bike PRO" ?
How do I migrate it to my new Android phone?

    Please enlighten.

    Thanks a million.

Tips for other dummmies like me on how to take advantage of this promotion:

It took me a while to figure out how to enter the promo code to get access to "Runtastic Road Bike PRO" on my current Android phone.

Download and install "App of the Day (AU) -100% Free" at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appturbo.a…
to gain access to the free version called "Runtastic Road Bike"
Then , to access settings to enter promo code to get the Pro version, open the downloaded "Runtastic Road Bike" , then press the Android phone Settings button —- > Enter Promotion Code —- > APPOFTHEDAY

I just did a test to see whether you were wrong or not.
A previous deal was runtastic pushups pro, which I got. I just uninstalled it from my phone then reinstalled it, tried to apply the code and was rejected. But I had it backed up via titanium backup, which allowed me to restore it with pro features.
So in answer to your questions:
So what happens when I change my Android phone?
You lose the PRO features unless you buy the app or restore it via Titanium backup
Do I get to keep this free "Runtastic Road Bike PRO" ?
You back it up via Titanium backup, then restore the app+data
How do I migrate it to my new Android phone?
Back it up on the sd card, move the sd card to your new phone, restore the app+data

I used titanium backup, I'm not sure if other backup apps work

        • Thanks a million, mskram.

I have just tried restoring the app using the following backup software and it asked me for promo code of the day to access the Pro features:
          App Backup & Restore
          https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.infolife.…

So ,it looks like App Backup & Restore does not work.

          Unlike your Titanium.

        • Great work mskram.

I lost the runtastic after uninstall by mistake. atleat least from now, need to backup.

difficult to share with others I think as that also store some personal info. if not, we could share to yhothose that misses today.

  • how to remove the advertisements at the bottom?

    • You upgrade it to 'PRO' as per deal?

      • of course.

        • Exit app completely/or reboot phone.

  • Thanks OP. Looks (fingers crossed) better than Runkeeper because it RunTastic can be controlled from Pebble.
