I've tried the Johnnie Walker King George V and frankly it's not that much more impressive than Dimple.

15yo Dimple is such a high-grade for its price that it is often used to mischievously substitute more expensive Scotch at bars (they fill up other bottles with Dimple).

After 2 glasses you won't taste any difference at all anyway.

Snobbery is expensive. Common sense is affordable.
