7/9/2013 Update All the SEGA games that where on sale on the first day are back, Aliens Colonial Marines, Sonic racing Transformed, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex and a shed load of Paradox games.

3/9/2013 Update Added some more EA games that started today FIFA13, SimCity, Dragon Age Bundle and NFS Bundle.

Amazon is having a late summer sale, there are some really great deals in there. Much better prices then during the Amazon summer sale.

Updated the table below to remove the SEGA and other games that are no longer on sale (if you missed out don't worry they will be back on the last day)

See the below table for some picks (there are around 1200 games on sale so I have a spread sheet with dates etc so you can more easily pick, choose and search)

You will need a valid US address on your account to purchase digital games from Amazon, personally I choose to stay at the Las Vegas Hilton when I buy games. It has been noted that you should pick an address in a state where Amazon do not charge Sales Tax list here

In the spreadsheet and table I have my affiliate link that you can use if you want, it is clearly marked which is which. (If you do use my affiliate link you pay the same I get some of the money Amazon would normally pocket)

  • I'd been waiting for a GOTY edition of Mass Effect 3, since there's $50 worth of DLC for it that never goes on sale, but my resolve might be weakening. ME2 never got a GOTY edition, and Amazon has started selling the Bioware Point codes you have to buy the DLC with, so maybe those will go on sale one day.

    Ah, whatever, let's do this.

Some really great prices here! I highly recommend Tomb Raider and Mass Effect 3 at these prices, Bioshock Infinite for $20 isn't too bad either, it's one of the best games I've ever played (not everyone would agree with me here :P)

    • +2

Yeah much better bargains compared to their summer sale

  • +1 for the effort alone… :)

  • +17

Tidy formatting, neat headers, working links, consistent schema. 10/10 would table again.

  • +6

Title reads as if Bioshock 1 is on sale for $19.99 :P

  • +1

Very tempted by Tomb Raider, and to grab my friend a copy of Bio Infinite (which I agree is great). It's the first time I've seen Bioshock at that price, but Tomb Raider has gotten to $13 a couple of times. I've already got too many bloody games!

    • Tomb raider is awesome, I paid around $30 for it and wasn't disappointed

  • Thanks, picked up BioShock Infinite.
It's a shame Far Cry 3 isn't on sale… Looks like I'll be waiting for the Steam Christmas sale
And if there's anyone who hasn't played the Mass Effect trilogy: buy it. Buy it now. $15 is insane value (/shameless plug)

i can get most of your possessions free when you're not home :O

  • +4

Deus ex human revolution complete pack only $5! really good value.

    • Yes, but note that they've announced some kind of new edition coming to PC soon (including some of the stuff that was previously exclusive to the WiiU version).

      • AFAIK, it's a ~$30 Director's Cut, with the Missing Link DLC actually packaged into the damn game (as it should have been from the start), with reworked boss fights, the ability to use a second display in-game, and all the Day One DLC included.

So basically, it should be a patch, and is a bit of a rip-off to those who already bought it (especially those of us who paid $80 upon release)

  • +1

Should change the title to 'Digital Games Late Summer Deals' instead of 'Labor Day Sale'. Good job on listing a lot of the games out!

    • Fixered ;)

  • +4

I couldn't resist the urge to pick up Mass Effect 3 Digital Deluxe Edition for $7.49 USD and Need for Speed The Run for $4.99 USD. Terrific value how could you not go wrong. To think ME3 Digital Deluxe is $79.99 and Need for Speed The Run is $49.99 on the Origin store.

  • Picked up Mark of the Ninja. pretty cheap and awesome metacritic score.

    Bioshock 1+2 for 5$ again! http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0083W649I

  • I just bought Mass Effect 3 deluxe edition total of $8.15. Then i check in my bank statement it says 'MISCELLANEOUS DEBIT $5.72'. Anyone can tell what's that about?

*This is my first time ever bought from Amazon so i don't really know why is it have different transaction

    • It might just be Amazon 'testing' your account with a temporary charge to check if it's legitimate (though these are usually only $1 or $2). If so, it should go away relatively soon (a day or two), if not, contact your bank.

      • Cheers man, thanks for your help.

  • The Sleeping Canines DLCs packs seem to be "sold out" Bizarre, isn't it, that a non-physical, digital product is sold out?

    • +2

Just because it's digital, doesn't mean they have an unlimited supply of keys. They need to buy them from the supplier (publisher), just as you would physical stock.

  • Yes, I guess its a matter of the DRM method creating an artificial scarcity. I had to wait 1 week for a Skyrim code from another site when it was on special for around $15. I guess Sleeping Dogs is extremely popular at the moment. The latest Civilization 5 DLC is a bragain at $15, especially considering it is subject to the Australia tax on Steam itself.

    Here's another Amazon cheapie:
    Sacred 2 for $3.75 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CX6G1I4/ref=dsvrt_review…

    • Wasn't Sacred 2 apart of the Humble Bundle recently though?

  • Can these be downloaded using Steam servers?

    • +1

Depends which game you're talking about. For example, ME3 is an Origin only install, so you can't activate it on Steam. For a list of Steam activate-able games, you can see here and here, though they may not be complete.
Also: there's a section for Steam titles here

When you buy the game through Amazon, just go to 'Your Account' -> 'Your Games and Software Library' and the games and their product keys should be listed. You can download through Amazon, or try your luck and see if Steam will accept it.

    • Always search Amazon pages for words like DRM and Steam, since this isn't mentioned in the title. If you take a look at, say, hearts iron 3, you can see their is a standard (just a CD key) and Steam versions, each at different prices. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A7YY3SY/ref=twister_B006…
Sometimes they also list boxed copies as well.

    • +1

It will say something like "Requires Steam Client to activate." in the specs, and generally has the DRM listed under the title, something like:

      BioShock Infinite [Download]

      by 2K Games
      Rated: Mature | DRM: Steam

  • Are these digital keys?

  • Attempting to purchase the Mass effect 3 trilogy, I have set a US address as my click 1 address but it still says "Game Downloads are only available to US customers".
What am I doing wrong? Anyone managed to purchase this and if so how?

    • I dont know… it worked for me… i did the same as above and I also live at the US hilton in las vegas now according to amazon.

I am using a visa debit card

      • Did you have to join your origin account to amazon or did you just get keys you then added to Origin?
I might be mis-reading the "only US" as an error when its actually a warning.

        • Should get keys to activate in Origin.

    • It worked for me. Make sure you gotta use the following US address book: phone numbers, zip code, state, city and address.

    • I've found that with some services it's the credit card that gives you away. I had to try a couple for Netflix, for example, before it worked for me.

      • I couldn't sign up to netflix with my visa debit but it worked on Amazon today. So yeh it depends on the service I guess.

  • Bought myself BF3 Premium after getting hooked on it from the Humble Bundle.

  • Doesn't amazon take paypal? I don't really like to put my bank card statement on online sometimes

    • Unfortunately not, they run a competing payment gateway type thing

  • +1

I can see myself spending a lot of money here. Thanks OP for the neat tables too, using affiliate links to say thanks for the effort :)

  • +2

Xcom $9.99 pack is excellent value, works great with a 360 controller also has a significant expansion pack coming out in a couple of months.

  • Bought the Desert To Sea bundle (Bioshock 1 & 2, Spec Ops:The Line) for $10 >> http://www.amazon.com/Desert-to-Sea-Bundle-Download/dp/B0091… . Now just have to decide if I should jump for Bioshock Infinite too…

    • Yeah undecided as well, Spec Ops is great fun btw

      • I've got so many games in my backlog to play I think I'll skip it for now, and pick it up in ~6 months when I can get it for $20-30 with DLC. Plus, that'll give me time to actually play the original two.

  • All over now
