I think you can safely 'use it' after waiting a certain period of time. After 3 months (?) you can put on the shoes and go paint the town red.

    • May need to make a reasonable effort to return it first.

Was your name on the package?

And does the address look similar to someone else,

I received a bunch of DVD's once, turns out the "7" looked like a "1".

  • it's addressed to me and my address.

it has a return china address. but it's sort of weird considering how china addresses go. i.e. not the usual format. no numbers in the address.

    from Shenzen province.

    • there is an address. re-read the label. shanghai actually.

there was also a mobile number listed - 13331945258

which lead to a google search to this page-

      http://sh.diqu114.com/company-47124434.html

which has the same name + address as the packaging.

      • Ok so just checked out that page youve mentioned above, did a Google translate on it and it gives the details:

        Mr Liao Xinran
        Shanghai Yi Long Courier Ltd
        1555 Cao Bao Road
        Minhang District
        Minhang District
        Shanghai
        Lane 201100

        Ph: 021-64594025
        Fax: 86-021-64786064
        Web: www.ylexp.com

Looks like its a courier company in China. The address listed above should be enough to get it back, it has a zip/post code on it etc, should be ok and just write 'Incorrect Address Return To Sender' on the front of it, add any extra details to the address listed on the package that are missing from the address listed above and take it to your local post office and have them send it back. Also if you label it this way it wont cost you anything to return it. Should be fine :)

You just won a free trip to China!!!

Just put them on, click your heels together & repeat three times after me…"there's no place like home." ;)

    • +12

      would'nt it be "有没有地方可以像家"?

      • +2

except that actually means "is there a place that can possibly be made like home" ;P

    • +7

and then you wake up in a bathtub full of ice missing your kidney.

  • +9

The heels are probably filled with drugs.

    • +1

But altomic does not sound like a drug peddler …lol

Then he/she is fantastic at their job!

Check the unsolicited or unclaimed goods provisions in your jurisdiction…

Someone thinks you will look good in red woman shoes.

  • +3

I used to buy female goods for friends as jokes. Perhaps it's someone doing it to you?

I'd google the name/envelope/anything to try and find the source. You could even try googling the shoe type, see if any have been sold recently, contact the seller.

Or just wear the shoes around, because you can pull them off.

    • I used to get free samples sent to mates :-)

ended up with this page thanks to a mobile number listed on the package. which matches the address on the package

      damn right.

      • damn right.

        wear 'em proud.

I received a case of Cullen wine at my ex husband's old work address. It was forwarded to his new work address. I contacted Cullen via email asking what the deal was. No response. No charge to any account I could find. I have finally started drinking it. I tried. Laid my cards on the table with no response at all.

  • Whats the senders address ? Just wondering roughly what district in Shenzhen, I visit there every year.

Hope they are HotWind shoes, very popular in China

No one has asked the obvious question: Was there a random woman in the shoes?

    • If thats the case then OP must have ordered woman but got shoes as a free gift with woman. :D

  • +1

pics of you in the shoes?

  • Strange indeed…..

  • +2

Random Red Shoes eh? Not to scare you or anything… having just watched this, it was the first thing I thought of!

    http://youtu.be/N1a8Ni1ROaA

    • that's disturbing

    • +1

I don't exactly believe in paranormal activities or superstitions… what I am afraid of though is being wrong and something actually happening.

      So..
If I were OP I would friggin run to the post office and re-send it back!

  • Had this happen to me. Received some very fake looking Gucci sneakers. My dad somehow got really attached to the issue and phoned the Chinese embassy. He can be a bit odd sometimes…

Horrible shoes but, ugly as hell no one in their right mid would wear them.

check your credit card. Had similar experience, I received women shirt to my address about 1 1/2 year ago. It was purchased using my credit card and another bigger purchase to someone else address.

    • damn credit card detail stealer's have taste these days too!

  • Are you sure there's nothing coming with the shoes? I mean they could be hollow with some hidden powder etc etc.

  • The seller may have just sent it to the wrong person. I remember buying something from ebay and the person spelled my name and street wrong and forget my st number… Still got to me because I think the postman knows what I like and my name.

could be a simple case of address label swap.

    • I'm wondering if this is the case.

    • This is sparta
