How much should I sell my Samsung Galaxy S4 with cover/ sp and 32GB SD card for?

Hi, as the title suggests i want to sell my s4 but I'm not sure how much for. i received this as a birthday present so i thought I'd use it for a bit, i even got a 32gb sd card, screen protector and case for it. its been a week now and i simply don't like it.

Because i obviously don't know how much was paid for this I'm not sure how much is a reasonable price to ask. and obviously i want to try and get the maximum i can that way i can get the phone i actually want.

    the S4 is a pretty decent phone.

      500 is a decent asking price. A proper ozbargainer could get close to that grey market.

    hate to tell you but using it , even if just for a week, is expensive.

    do you still have original receipt for warranty?

    you can buy these online/on-special/price matched for just under $650 (australian stock and warranty).

    $500 seems reasonable to me, yes as mentioned above you could perhaps get more on ebay - but then remember ebay fees and paypal fees (so budget about 14% fees).

    The S4 shits all over the iphone 5 - why are you downgrading?

    also new iphones are rumoured to be released soon - might be worth waiting?

        if they brought it from harvey norman they probably paid about $750 for it.
        quite a big gift… shame they didn't bother to find out if you wanted it. will they be annoyed at you for selling it?

        if you could get the receipt that would certainly add value.
        Samsung won't do any repairs/exchanges without it unfortunately - even if you visit their melbourne store.

        i'm not going to go into a debate apple/android iphone/s4, google it and you'll find lots of varying opinions

        But like he says, google it. I think you'll find he is referring to technical specs and benchmarks that the S4 is superior to the iPhone 5.

          You do realise the irony of asking me to keep my opinion to myself on a forum topic where you have asked for people's opinions?

          I wasn't trying to start a flame war, it was simply an observation. I then tried to point you in right direction regarding specs and benchmarks.

          S4's cpu is faster but gpu is slower compared to the iPhone 5. Goes with most Android phones.

          Also offtopic: I'm not sure why but it seems there's an increasing amount of Android users who ignore facts and go out of their way to collectively shit on ios users because they're 'overpriced'.

          Different phones for different folks.

    I just sold mine today.

    S4 (i-9505)
    Titanium Grey 16gb
    32 gb sd card (class 10)
    with warranty till June 2014.

    $500

    Probably could have pushed for $550 if I had the patience, remember the iPhone 5s is coming out soon, so these phones will depreciate pretty fast…

    However if someone is looking for an Android phone 9/10 times they won't even look at an iPhone anyway…

      It all depends on your preference now. They cater for different groups of people. I personally jumped ship from Android to iOS.

    Kogan are currently selling the 8-core for $659 delivered, and the 4-core for $639. Brand new, unlocked and 12 month warranty.

    As everyone else has said, the second you buy something it depreciated hugely, just like cars and jewellery phones do too. $500 would be a pretty good price in my opinion.

    In my expirience ios is more user friends but anderoid hss more features, thats why I gave mum an iphone but bought myself a s3. As someone said earlier different phones for different folks.

    Could always try and put up on Gumtree, and see if someone will swap you for an iPhone 5? Risky, but probably the best money-wise, as iPhone's do seem to hold their value better plus it sounds like it's the phone you want.

    Just a thought.

      Depends, speculation from news stated when iphone 5C is out at around 299, iphone price will drop more drastically than before.

      iphone 5S will have thumb print recognition based on leaked news……. so protect your thumb from being chopped off matey……

    Have you tried to bring it back to HN for a store credit? But first find out whoever gave it to you for the receipt. like mpratyy10 said Gumtree has some people want a swap instead but there is always a risk.
