Cheap cover for furnitures and home contents?

Hi guys,

Due to emergency, I'm moving overseas for a few months. I gotta stop my rent as I can't afford it much.
Some furnitures has been sold. But I'm gonna keep by bed and mattress, and possibly washing machine and fridge. And some the little things stuffed in a couple of boxes. Going to keep it at a friend's house, but some of it has to be stored outdoor with no roof due to lack of space. Any thoughts on a good, durable, cost-efficient cover I can use to cover my belongings while I'm gone?

Thanks in advance!

Home Brand Garbage bags from Woolworths. 4 pack for $1.
    240 Litre variety.

Drop Sheets in the hardware section of woolworths. I think they may be 3m by 2 m and maybe $1 or $2 a packet.

Maybe by some cheap sheets from Salvos. Id take a sheet and stick the drop sheet to it. If you got glue or something. You put a drop sheet on something and it will blow away. Glue it to the cheap sheet and it may stay down better and will be water proof. It may be less likely to be blown away in the wind. Or even a cheap bookcases to sacrifice in the rain if it is part of teepee type set up. You might be able to find a broken tent with holes in the bottom and missing poles on the cheap.

Also 80 Litre plastic garbage bins or plastic boxes with lids may be an idea if you can find the cheapest available.
