Matte black PVD coating – PVD (or “physical vapour deposition” is an environmentally-friendly vacuum coating process that results in a tough finish that will retain its appearance for years.

The crown – the button on the side of the watch used to adjust the time and the date – is covered with a oversized cap which resembles the lid of a water canteen. To change the time and date, just unscrew the crown cap. The crown cap is attached to the body of the watch, similar to the way the lid of a canteen attaches to the canteen's drinking spout.
