ANZ version, does not work with 20% off voucher, it is still cheaper than anywhere else I could find.
Having played the previous XCOM titles, I strongly recommend you pick up this one.

The year is 1962. JFK is President and the Cold War has the nation gripped by fear – but a far more powerful and insidious enemy than communism is threatening America. Known only to a select few, a top-secret government unit called The Bureau begins investigating and concealing a series of mysterious attacks by an otherworldly enemy. As special agent William Carter, call the shots, pull the trigger and lead your squad in a gripping third-person tactical shooter set within a high-stakes, covert war to defend humanity. The Bureau’s mission is clear – survive, adapt and overcome the enemy threat to protect the citizens from the truth.

I would imagine you're right, however, there may be some who aren't. Should we neg this post and have it removed to deny them access to this?

      • You must be new here….

  • It's complete BS that GreenManGaming has jumped on the ol' Australia Tax bandwagon and hiked the price up so much.

There's even rumours that Steam is going to implement geographic region-checking to enforce region specific game restrictions.

So that means if a game is censored/modified to get "passed" here in Australia (eg. Saints Row IV) and you buy an uncensored (eg. American) version of the game; when you log in to Steam and install or activate it, Steam will detect that you live in Australia (by IP address, Steam settings, CC or account info, etc) and will automatically decide you actually get the "appropriate" (eg. censored) version of the game.

Even worse, in the case of "banned" games (that have been refused classification) it would simply not allow you to install/activate them at all!

Sorry, I know it's a bit off topic but seriously - how screwed up is that?

    • At least they do release coupons for ANZ versions to make it more affordable, from what I heard it's the likes of JB and EB that petitioned against them so they were forced to increase the prices.

  • Thanks, it's a good deal but since I already have Spec Ops I went with the Amazon offer instead. And to think I was close to buying it off Steam for $71… Gotta love OzBargain.
