Woolworths Baby club and Woolworths online promotion 5% off and free delivery

I'm not sure if this qualifies as a deal so I'm putting it in the forums instead. It sounds like a good deal but you need to be an Everyday Rewards member, a Woolworths Baby and Toddler Club member and a Woolworths Online customer to make it work successfully.

Below are some detailsl of an email I received from Woolworths Baby and Toddler Club.

"As a Club member, we're giving you free delivery plus 5% off your next shop - which means no dragging the little ones up and down the aisles!

Your 5% off discount will be automatically deducted at the checkout. For free delivery, simply enter code BABYAUG13 at the checkout. Offer valid for existing Woolworths Baby & Toddler Club members and for orders placed between 14th and 20th August 2013.

Please note that you will need to use your Woolworths Online login details rather than your Club login to sign into Online Shopping. Offer excludes tobacco and liquor products. Minimum $30 spend."

I couldn't find a web page with any other terms and conditions apart from the standard conditions of the three programs. You have to be an everyday rewards member in order to join the Woolworths Baby and Toddler Club. One of the reasons you have to be an everyday rewards member is that some of the discounts you get as part of the baby club are loaded directly onto your everyday rewards card, although this takes a couple of days to take affect.

    It says in the email that you have to be an existing member of the baby club to get the deal. If you join during the deal period you might also get the deal but I can't guarantee if this will work. The contact phone number for the club is 1300 767 969 and there is also a contact us form on the website.

    I have a vague memory of a deal in the last few months where a code for woolworths online worked for orders which weren't part of the existing promotion. I have no idea whether the free delivery code above will work for non baby club members.

    OP, do you get many deals being a member of the baby club? I don't really buy any baby stuff from Woolies, maybe the odd bib or toy, but would be interested in general deals like this one. Ta :)

      There are at least 6-10 deals per week which are linked to your everyday rewards card and several other deals direct with selected sponsors of the club. I've had somewhere betwee 6 and 10 free nappies of various sizes sent to me in the last year or so. You subscribe to one of the mailing lists which allows other merchants to send you deals(sometimes freebies).

      The Woolworths offers get emailed about once a week but you can view the current ones on the website at any time. Some of the offers are on grocery items as well as baby items. I think there was a discount deal on cauliflour and some other vegetables at one stage and I've also seen regular breakfast cereal products on special.

      It helps if you know your regular prices on the baby items etc so you can figure out easily if the offer is actually a bargain. Some of the offers last one week, others last longer.
