Vodafone was independently reported to have the fastest 4G in Australian Metros ?
Telstra got their knockers in a knot, said they'd take Voda to court because they have the fastest in AU. Ha !
My Telstra 4G drops out quite often, Optus is just unusable may aswell pull out my 56k modem. same with all my other sims that ride off Optus.
4G with Vaya , complete waste of time, and Customer service is a Joke.
But you know what the Voda Sim has been a real surprise, it actually is faster than Teltra, I rarely get drop-outs where I do with optus driving to work.
I heard from a mate that Voda are doing the $5 a day when you use the International Roaming in US UK and NZ ( totaly Auto too) , so no more surprising bills when I'm overseas for work, I get hit with an extra $20 bill not $300 …I'll be saving heaps. They should make this mandatory for all I mean come on I'm sick of pay
ing all these extra excess fees, we pay more than most countries anyway. then hitting us again when the phone does an update. Nice one you not so smart Samsung nexus phone, (that i had setup with data turned off and it still pulled an update.)
I was back to using my brick when O/S …nice look
So, -where- do you take your no-dropout drive to work with Voda?
I tried calling Vaya as a new customer and being on the phone for 10 minutes with no idea how long the wait time is. And the most annoying midi background music. I can't see how anyone can sign up to them.
The reason why Vodafone might temporarily have faster 4G is because customers left them in droves and they have a capacity surplus as nobody is using the network.
Calling Vaya guarantees a wait of at least 10 minutes every time and their "help" is mostly useless.
The reason they have faster 4g is because in most cities they actually have more spectrum.
The same thing is going to happen with every carrier. Its fast til people all pack onto it then it slows down.Happened with 3G (imho more problematic on Optus).Same thing will happen with 4G then 5G etc…
I drive from Blacktown to Strathfield , and City to Batemans bay without 1 dropout.
Listing has ended 44 sold. LOL..deal gone
the ebay seller has new stock now. there's also another ebay seller selling at the same price.
voda is great so far. :)
does recharge vouchers have expiry?
yeah all vouchers have a use by date, or expiry.
once vouchers are used, they have another expiry date (usually 30 days or 28 days) depending on the plan.
protip:
get a $29 voucher cheaply, call 1555 and ask for a recharge and change of plan to vodafone international $30, 365 day $30 or even the prepaid $30 cap… usually they'll be able to do it at pro-rata flexible credit…
so we can get this $29 recharge and get vodafone to put us on let's say a $30 cap?
I have tried successfully on a few occasions on both $30 365 plan & International plan. I do not see a problem with $30 cap plan, maybe perhaps the virtual flexible vf credit might be a bit more complicated to pro rate.
Just give 1555 a call to be sure.
Oh yes, remember to get serial no from seller also, not just the pin.
It works btw if anyone was wondering.
just need to call vodafone and they will process it manually.
thanks.
another possible protip: those of us who are data hungry would love to add on multiple data ons, i would think we can get take advantage of these before 31st Aug, buy maybe 2-3 of these cheap $29 prepaid voucher, call 1555 and use them collectively to request for a switch to a higher plan ie. a $50 or $70 cap plan. any in excess credits would be added in. the high plans have more flexible credit / dollar.
Anyone had success with Vodafone allowing a recharge after expiry? If you ask nicely?
Choose either credit 2 hrs or broadband 2gb..yuck, tho if you can receive that signal.
