I'm currently with NRmA, but wanted to ask if Anyone he ever used Coles little red quote and has any good feedback on them? There prices seem pretty competitive, alot more cheaper than what I'm currently paying. Also does insurance companies price match? Cheers.

a lot of feedback here… they do not rate well at all.It is good to find a cheaper premium but if that means poor coverage then it is not cheap at all.
try price match with progressive direct. they're the cheapest for me.

I recently switched, the cheapest for me was woolies, plus there is a $50 petrol promo right now.
Coles gave me a good quote on my home insurance, but their car insurance was $150 more than the best quote i could find (bingle). Haven't had to claim anything on bingle touch wood but have heard the bingle claim process isn't great.
Coles quote was cheaper for me, but only cos their policy was feature crippled - high excess, low valuation, etc. Went elsewhere. Read what you get for your money with the cheaper mobs.
It depends on the type of insurance. If you're looking at coles, you should look at KTAS (K-Mart Tyre & Auto Service) insurance too, because theyre both underwritten by Wesfarmers Insurance, but the premium is different depending on where you live and your profile…
I got quotes from both for exactly the same car for myself, and KTAS was cheaper by $20… And you also get flybuy points!
ok i just finished my claims with coles. verdict? well if you are expecting better claim experience with coles, think again. while they do answer your calls but it took me another 6 months to get my claim finally settled! whereas for bingle, their services is dreadful. they will ignore you but once you reached the ombudsman stage, their services speed up and very courteous. actually it took slightly faster to claim with bingle than coles! i find the only good thing about coles is its premium, so if you can find a lower premium elsewhere, can forget about coles.
you can always ask them to match… worse they can say is 'no'
been insured with them for a while and made a claim… very fuss free and cheap and the repairs were more than to my liking (and i'm fussy)
HOWEVER… i'd only insure plain non performance non modified shopping trolley cars
for anything thats a bit 'special' use someone else
