        Dashline Password Manager - FREE

        4.5/star with 883 reviews

        • Always free things are not posted as deals here.

        • +1

Ratings are better than the app you posted

        • Yes, 883R because that is always free. But this one was not.
Most people didn't buy it because of the price. If there is a free version of this, this one also would have been rated 883+R

Other thing is this app was released on Feb 12 '13
But your mentioned one May 23 '12
All these reasons really affects the rating.
          Lol..

If there is free version of this, this one also would have been rated 883+R

          that is an assumption only

Onekey Pro has been free 2 times previously for a total of 7 days, so i would expect more ratings if it was reputable.

So, tell me, tell us all why you negged my above comment?
          Am I lying?
          Am I offensive?
Am I not suggesting a simpler alternative?

Please, tell me why you begged my comment..

        • +4

The problem with notes is that if your phone is unlocked for whatever reason ppl have free access to it !!
With these password apps though, you usually require a password to get into app.
e.g if i borrow your phone for 1 sec and decide ill take a peek at your notes theres nothing stopping me now is there!

Its free i cant understand why ppl neg things like these if they actually do as they advertise??

    • +4

I don't get your reason for negging the deal.

        • -1

Ps, don't just neg my above comment,
Tell me why you negged me… Please

        • +1

I haven't negged any of your comments

        • -1

Sorry, that last one wasn't directed at you

        • +3

I negged it for free, don't ask me why.

        • +4

Wouldn't it be fun if all neg votes suddenly revealed their owners one day… Think of the lulz! Scotty can we do it next fools day? Plz??

        • +2

          I +1 that…

        • +3

Why does it bother you so much?

        • +6

Do you understand how the negative vote works here?

Simply put , if the deal isnt for you then move on. Make your comments, share your insights, which you have done numerous times. Then its up to people to see those and make a decision.

By down voting it, you effectively can hide the deal from others. Hey you know that this means your opinions are also hidden, so its a two edged sword.

Negative votes say there is something wrong with the deal, Its free, notes are free, Dashline is free. Now Easternculture doesnt like this program, and has made unfavourable comments but didn't down vote the deal.

Now you may say its your community right to neg the deal. Fair comment but dont scream when others down vote your comments.

Hot deals get voted up, those which are meh, dont, very simple process

        • Wouldn't it be fun if all neg votes suddenly revealed their owners one day

That's how it used to be a couple of years ago, actually.

  • Does anyone know if the app stores the passwords on the device or the cloud?

  • +6

Thanks WNK. I agree with you, it may (or may not) be the best, but as it is now free we can download and try for ourselves.
If no good can just delete.

    • Don't forget to change all your passwords if you move along. Since how can you prove the developer hasn't grabbed a copy of all your passwords? Ironically, one way to build a password database for brute force attacks is to release a password manager… :-P

      • Brute force attacks, by definition, do not make use of password databases. Are you think of dictionary attacks instead?

On building dictionaries, the problem is that a good password manager should generate random strings, and so it becomes pointless to capture these strings to build a dictionary with them.

        • no muncan is saying how do we know that this app is not leaking all our data back to the developer. How would you know unless jailbroken and running the firewall app? Yesterday someone was using my pc remotely in front of me. I was logged into lastpass and he was going for gold with my paypal account until i turned pc off. Comodo, superantiapyware and spybot would not detect or remove but outpost removed it within 5 seconds of boot.
What apps can we really trust?

        • +2

Dont most apps that appear on apps store go through strict testing before they are allowed onto appstore ?

        • no

i remember seeing an app on slickdeals that was leaked with a hidden banned feature built into it. Cant remember exactly what it is.
