Flight Centre Insurance Price Match to SCTI 50% off I Saved $500

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure whether people know this, but Flight Centre apparently price match travel insurance. I got a quote for $550 from SCTI - but they price match everyone. It is also a better policy because the Covermore policy covers more than SCTI. They do it apparently to drum up business and are happy to take a loss on the policy.

I used SCTI because it's the cheapest I know of. I just searched it on my phone and they gave me the policy subject to 1 days approval. Sounds pretty good to me.

It's not really 50% off if their prices are exorbitant to begin with, but if they can at least beat SCTI quotes then it's a good deal indeed.

  • How do these compare to http://www.1cover.com.au/.
That's who my wife used. She thought they were good/cheap/easy.
(Think it was $59 for a 10 days in HK)

  • If they match SCTI with their cover its the cheapest and best you can get.

  • If travel is to the expensive places like USA or Japan, read the fine print on all policies very carefully.

  • We always use SCTI & until April of this year have never had to make a claim. Unfortunately whilst on holiday in Ko Samui in April I fell over in the hotel & broke my wrist. SCTI were brilliant - no worries with hospital charges-covered.Although we continued our holiday (arm in sling & plaster cast)they then upgraded us to business class flight home. On arrival home we also received a follow up phone call from the consultant to check everything had gone to plan with flights & how I was. We were so happy with their attentive service - feel it went over any expectancies. Now mended(!) we are off again on holiday & booked travel insurance with SCTI. Would be loathe to book anywhere else. Obviously they don't win the best travel insurance awards for no reason - they are the best

  • Yeah SCTI are amazing
