Freight, Melbourne to Adelaide

Hey,

What is the cheapest way to get some suitcases with books, etc from Melbourne to Adelaide. I live near the city in Melb and if its cheaper can send it to city in Adelaide. Speed isn't important just cost. I'm guessing bus, don't think train (gsr) does freight?
