Got some apples in store today. Great price at $1/kg. A while ago a punnet cost about $3.30. Appears to be available nationwide and on Woolworths Online too.

You should have posted this 12 months ago when they were fresh…
Apples from the supermarket only last 2-3 days before they go soft and spongy… Been in cold storage for too long..
Red Delicious are never a good supermarket apple
They should rename them 'Red Bland' or 'Red Powdery'
They might look delicious, but they're not…
go to checked, really small size if the apples. not really good enough.
Actually,$1 for a small pack of these represent pretty damn good value.
I had some last night, and one this morning.
The batch I have at the moment is crisp and tasety.
However, I do agree that Red Delicious is probably at the lower end of
my favorite types of apple.Confession bear: I actually like small apples that I can finish in one go without feeling too full, as I also consume various other fruits at the same time. Just went through half a punnet already and all of them were crisp and sweet, albeit some acidity can be picked up but that's fine with me.
Thanks. Bought 3 punnets earlier and just made a rather large apple pie with half. Tastes good and the apples held their shape despite most people saying that red delicious apples should never be used in pies.
was just about to post this as well.
