Best Australian online travel agent (ie least fees/ no credit card fee)? Expedia etc Not Zuji?

Just found my flights using Kayak.co.uk

Flights will be charged in USD, attracting a currency exchange cost.

I have a 28days card, but need to use another card for bonus travel insurance.

Zuji - has no credit card fee, but my flights from Kayak don't come up (doesn't show Etihad flights).

Any better alternatives?

  • just tried:

    travel.com.au

    Expedia.com.au

    lastminute.com.au

No luck, they don't show the Kayak open jaw/ multi city flights

  • wotif, agoda, webjet, priceline? more for you to try

  • FYI, Zuji now charges a fee of around $20. It got purchased by webjet. >:(

  • Cheers all,

Just gave up and booked through Travelocity (though it says I have to wait 2 hrs for ticket numbers). It didn't ask me what seat I wanted, a bit disapointed. Maybe I can do that after? (Cheaptickets.com has a seat selector section). Hopefully I can do this later through Etihad website.

    Wotif/ Zuji /Expedia / Sky scanner..etc don't show the flights.

For finding flights Kayak/ Orbitz are brilliant.

I liked the look of Cheaptickets (but read some weird reviews).

PS. Priceline also book in USD.

    • You should be able to do the seats through Etihad website. You might need to look for an Etihad booking reference or "vendor locator" on your ticket from Travelocity in order to log in to the Etihad site.

  • You should be able to call any of those companies and book over the phone. What were the flights and price you were looking at? You may be able to book directly with the airline for the same price and have the fees waived for not being able to book online.

EDIT- Guess I was a couple of minutes late. :)

Tried Etihad direct, was an extra $116 per person (vs $60 for the international charge).
    SIN—>LHR
    CDG—>SYD—>ADL $1080, can't complain.
