Not a huge discount, but on principle for Apple, Apple TV is currently $98 at Domayne stores that stock electrical products: Bundall QLD, Fyshwick ACT, Gosford, Kotara and Warrawong NSW.
If ordered online pick up is only available from these stores too.
Current 3rd generation version.
I just wish it was cheaper somewhere in Victoria too!

The only one that's been available for years, 3. Unfortunately means that you can't jailbreak it.

Advantage of the jail broken one is?
The biggest and best advantage of a jailbroken Apple TV is that you can install XBMC on it. For those of us with terabytes of videos, XBMC is a godsend. You point it to your media library and it goes and fetches descriptions/actors/ratings/etc for all the TV shows and Movies, and keeps track of which episodes/movies you've watched.
WESTERN DIGITAL media player can be bought for around $100-ish but i dont know why people crazy abotu appletv 2. maybe its apple thingie
Again, XBMC is why people are crazy about Apple TV 2.
Western Digital media players are pretty good (personal experience, family members have them), but XBMC is much better. XBMC gets all the metadata under the sun for your media, from coverart to running time to actors to genres. AFAIK Western Digital media players don't do any of this, they just list your media.
XBMC running on an Apple TV 2 is the best media player there is this side of running a PC with XBMC. Not really debatable either.
i see. well. i have appletv 2 jb but experienced some crashes but then swithced to plex on my NAS and rarely use appletv anymore maybe time to sell it
