  • feedbacks? is 14kh fast enough? and is it wide enough?

    • i think for normal home use, this one is fine. i'm still waiting for mine, so haven't seen to give a real feedback.

If you're worried about 14kph being fast enough, then you're likely to use it for running, and if that's the case, you'd probably want to look at something with a longer belt. The spec's indicate 120cm x 40cm, and that would be fine for walking but you may struggle to stay on the belt if you're running.

I'm 6'4" with big feet, and have an Enduro 318 (running surface = 135cm x 50.5cm). There have been a couple of times where I've felt my foot touching the rear roller because it's not long enough for my long legs at full speed. I've never tried a treadmill with a shorter belt (other than in-store when I bought my Enduro), but I'm confident I would personally not want to go shorter with the running surface. If you're significantly shorter than me (therefore have shorter legs), or perhaps just a more compact running style, you may not have that issue.

I'd suggest this treadmill would better suit a walker than a runner. I agree with Maz78 (below) that it would be fast enough for running, but if that was your primary intent, perhaps consider expanding your budget for a slightly longer running surface. If you think you're going to start off walking as a good way to lose a bit of weight, then move onto more serious running, this is a good entry price for a new treadmill, and you could then look at the possibilities on Gumtree as you progress. There are plenty of people with high-end treadmills going relatively cheap there because they bought them with the best intent but after a few months of use, they're only using it as a clothes horse now.

NB: Everything above is my personal opinion. I am guessing there's a treadmill expert in the OzB community who could give more official advice RE: other features.

I've got a LifeSpan treadmill. Got it for the wife but she never freaking uses it. They're fine to be honest. Mine's ~45cm (W) from memory but they are plenty fast enough for a decent jog/run.

  • got mine for $399 delivered a few years back, my max speed was 12. Good for the price but dont expect any extra features

  • I could picture a continuous thin strip of name labels coming out the back as you jog.

  • I bought my wife one of these from Grays a few months ago, and she loves it. As noted, its not the longest treadmill and at only 14 kph you'll not be able to make like Usain Bolt. Also the heart rate grips are not very useful since you have to hold on to get your heart rate, and its not Polar compatible as far as I know.

All in all a good starter treadmill while you decide if you are serious.

PS Make sure you get a decent warranty, they feel a little flimsy.

    • Still showing $49 for me.

      • I tried a few postcodes out of curiosity (city and country) and it's $49 everywhere I tried. Except for postcode 800 which is not valid, but gives a delivery fee of $481 for reasons I can't explain.
