USB 2.0 to DVI/VGA/HDMI Multi Display Adapter $29.99 + $5.95 Delivery

80

These babies normally go for the mid $50 to $60 range - this seems to use the DL-195 chip which supports the higher resolutions… Its a cheap and effective way to adding a 2nd or 3rd (or 4th) monitor to your setup.

The link contains the resolutions and technical details..

For ~$36 it's a very good price.

Can't wait to play BF3 on my new 2560 x 1540 resolution Dell monitor with MAXED out settings at >60fps. Sweeeeeet.

Don't be an idiot, nobody said it was for gaming.

      • Why bother feeding trolls.

I was worried that some poor soul would take this comment seriously and think that if they have a powerful graphics card, that the performance from their main graphics card would apply over the adapter as well.

        • If you buy a gpu made in the last 5 years, powerful or not, then it'll have a dvi-d. You wouldn't need this in the first place.

"just be willing to settle for less than you expected. If you have larger monitors look for a better solution!"
"would not advise it for anything but multi-tasking on WORK MONITORS. Video for other uses not always super crisp, like for movies, etc"

  • Can someone please explain to me how this product works? I have a Macbook Pro and would like to set it up to another monitor.

Same product albeit ships from HK.

The similar price means this really isn't that great of a deal.

Dont buy this thinking it's a miracle solution for your 10y/o laptop with no digital outs. If you're buying this with plans on using it outside of plain text reading or browsing the web then don't bother. Signal is compressed, will have delays and lag and may not even be at 32bit. It'll take alot of grunt from the pc since images needs to be transcoded on the fly.

    • What would you suggest if I have a new lappy with GT740M, only HDMI & VGA to run a 120Hz?

      • .. just use HDMI? As long as your monitor supports 120Hz, HDMI can output 120Hz.

      • That's not gonna touch 120 fps lol. HDMI will do 120hz

I bought a same/similar one from Officeworks before, close to $100, so this is indeed a bargain.

I have one of these (paid abotu $60 for it on eBay) and its works brilliantly well on Mac or PC, behaves nicely with sleeping computers, rotating/pivoting monitors, the works. Cheap but definitely not nasty.

  • cheap! but no audio :(

  • Considering I just sold a Lenovo replicator for $85 on ebay, I reckon this is a great price for people who need.

  • How is this compared to USB3.0 one?
    Is there a difference 2.0 vs 3.0?
