Vivid wireless cutting me out in september, what next?

Vivid wireless is going to end my service in September, due to network changes,
and after 5years with them(unwired first than vivid),
now i have to find an alternative.

vivid offers me a special optus mobile broadband for the same price as my vivid plan,
but no more possibility to change my plan month by month, and few other details like excess data etc.

i was happy with vivid, and in past had some bad support experience with Optus,
any alternative to suggest?

inner city 2010 area
i use around 15-20 giga per month,
2 laptop and 3 mobile dev connect to the internet,
dont care much about maximum speed,
i need to be sure it works consistently mostly in after office time.

    Are you limited to Wireless? Or do you have the option for ADSL?

    why are they cutting you out? I'm about to sign up, just checked here first and found this post.. now I'm a little confused :S

      Hi, im in Syd inner city, i got a letter saying i was within the few losing the service due to network changes, in the same mail they offered a special deal with optus(wireless broadband too), and a dedicated number.

      when i spoke with optus(i didnt find any better offer around) they explained me optus bought vivid and they were slowly going to remove the service to the vivid customer and offer the promotional switch to optus.

      hard to say what's the story behind,
      i was not on contract anymore with vivid and was doing the post payed wireless wifi,
      optus offer was same for the 20giga per months, but that's the minimum u could have,
      while i loved vivid cause4 i could change month by month according to the needs,
      but i should say optus is much faster .

      we were with unwired for around 3 years and then 2 years with vivid since they came around and offered the promotion to unwired customers; never had issues with them service very reliable, speed on the basic plans is a bit slow.
