        but there will only be the same amount of current divided amongst the devices, so the multiple devices will charge slower.

      Probably really slowly unless the conductors are thick and the USB source is high capacity. I wouldn't recommend it for most things.

      With this sort of charger/adapter you also have to keep track of what happens to the unused plugs (eg that they are not lying in a bit of water on the table).

      Not a good idea as USB devices register on a particular hub and are supposed to negotiate their charge rate.
      Asking for problems with three going on one.
      Especially with a laptop.

        Yes, got it. To those who will use this cable in a car: Just be aware 1M is not enough to reach from the car console to the back seats unless your car has a power point at the back.
