  • All I get is Facebook.

How about a link to the merchant page?

    • Yeah, I agree, I tried to change it but:
"Cannot change deal to a different domain than fb.me. If it really needs to be done, please contact a moderator."

http://www.nobullsupplements.com.au/ is the site. The deal is posted on their Facebook page.

    • Yeah I have been following their Facebook page, apparently they are now sourcing their stuff from NZ so any new orders shouldn't be affected. They say that if it tests bad they will refund the order and the cost of a testing kit.

      • +2

But we all know that NZ is a back door for Chinese imports into Australia tho?

    • Wow that's really bad. I still have two bags I got from no bull.

I also got a bag from bulk powders, are they ok?

    • Very interesting reading and given I've bought from them for the past year or so, I'm now going to consider my next purchase (next week) from a different supplier that happens to have a wider range even if it is slightly more expensive.

  • Is it James Hird Approved?

  • +9

There are so many companies out there, why support one who has cheated customers.

They won't even include the batch numbers that have been affected. I potentially wasted $198 on sub par product.

    • +3

Yep, I have to agree with this. The whole situation has left a bad taste in my mouth… Or maybe that's just the dodgy protein.

I've got a few kgs of WPI to finish, though I'm sure if I had it tested it wouldn't be good. Definitely shopping elsewhere after I've finished them.

  • +4

just went through the 20 page post - this company is despicable. I was just about to buy a batch from them in the next few months because I really liked the taste of their choc mint.
I bought 5kg in Feb 2012 and just finished my last pack. Still got some malto and dextrose though - I assume thats fine.
Might have to stick to well known companies from now.
    Apparently bulknutrients are fine.

Even if no bull fix the problem now, its too late, they have now lost too many clients, including me.

  • +2

I just bought venom protein couple of days back, wpi 105 for 4kg, which is cheaper than this? Anyone know about the quality of venom protein, i.e. correct amount of protein/$

  • +2

This is appalling; No bull just lost a regular customer in me as well.

  • Can someone clarify which products were affected? I've been using their WPC (Vanilla) for a over a year now and noticed a distinct change in the flavour of the latest batch I received a month ago. I didn't think any of it at the time but now I'm concerned.. I just checked their website and they claim that testing of WPC confirmed under 1% discrepancy in protein content.

  • ahhhh crap. I just had an order from No Bull arrive yesterday. Gonna see if I can get some of those Bulk Nutrient test kits for this new stuff.

  • +4

This company is a disgrace. I was planning on ordering 5kg of WPI from them in the next couple of weeks but there is no way I am EVER buying anything from NB again.

  • Really disappointed by this, been buying from no bull for about a year. Have they been doing this for a long time or was it just a specific batch or something? Have they fixed the issue?

    • +3

They claim it was only one batch on their facebook page but testing by their customers shows it was at least the last 1.5 years. They only started their business in 2011 too.

Apparently they have now fixed the problem but they have lost my trust. I have just about finished a batch from another company who I think uses the same protein and to think of all the potentially lost gains over the last 6 months is very disappointing. Even more disappointing is that I am diabetic and all those extra carbs would have been affecting my blood sugar levels and possibly damaging my health.

    • +2

They've changed their supplier, so anything you buy from now on should be fine. However they refuse to specify dates/batches, so that leads me (and I'm sure many others) to believe that this has been going on for a long time.

People have used the testing kits on protein purchased from NB early in the year and the results weren't good. Yet NB say the bad batch was around a month or two ago (yet never specify exact dates - I wonder why)

At worst they've been knowingly selling lower quality protein despite what was advertised. At best it was unknowingly and they have 0 QA. Not worth sticking around, go elsewhere - plenty of other companies vying for your dollar.

edit: And we've got bad results from a bag of protein bought Feb 2012. This has probably been going on since they started in 2011…

  • Just emailed them about an order I placed, they're giving me a full refund + $75 store credit. Does anyone have an idea of what the affected products nutritional info might be? Is it worth still using or should I just chuck it?

    • When was your order placed?

edit: lab testing by bulk nutrients reckons that the protein content was at 32% - 44%

      http://www.bulknutrients.com.au/assets/pdf/The-Good-the-Bad-…

(Assuming No Bull Supplements as "Company C")

    • I don't think anyone knows exact amounts, but the testing kits are supposed to indicate that the dodgy protein (such as what NB have been selling for god knows how long) has a lot lower protein percentage than what's advertised (and likely a higher carb percentage) ie, you're paying for 90% but getting 50%.

I'm lazy so i'll finish off what I have (since I'm not body building/cutting super seriously), however to those that are this could be a huge issue.

Did you do any testing with the kits or just email them??

      • 19/6. Alright, thanks, I just emailed them, no proof of test or anything needed. I'll most likely just finish it as 50% isn't absolutely worthless. I gained a fair bit of BF% late last year, despite having a calculated diet plan/macros, and was wondering why the hell I got fatter, guess this must of been why lol

Wow…we've all been had!! I've been a loyal customer…no more…I'll be sourcing from elsewhere! What a disgrace!!

    • Same here, had no Idea before this thread

      • i was upset after the price increase after being a loyal customer. but now this is the last straw on the camels back.

worst part is i was recommending it to all my friends.

I bought 4kg of WPI from venom recently for $98 delivered using a voucher from this site that although old is still valid :)

I emailed bulk nutrition who send out the free testing kits, gave them the company, the protein type (WPI), the date of purchase and the flavour (natural) and they confirmed via lab tests that ALL the venom protein they've tested is fine.

So if you are looking for a cheap tested alternative, there you have it :)

    • How does venom WPI taste like? How it Mixes well?

      • +2

I've bought flavoured WPI from Venom before and found it didn't mix particularly well or taste nice but here I was comparing it to something that wasn't the real deal…bloody No Bull aka Complete Bull!! I'll give Venom another go; their natural stuff this time though and will add my own flavouring.

        Thanks h4lcyon for the info!

      • +1

I buy the natural stuff so I can't comment on the flavours, but I did notice that natural stuff smelt a little like chocolate compared to professional whey natural WPI.

I mix mine in a tall plastic beaker adding in a banana, glutamine & frozen blueberries (always on special at either coles or woolies) with a stick mixer so I never notice any lumps, and it tastes awesome. Adding some carbs to the protein really helps replenish glycogen and I've found builds strength faster than protein alone.

Protein that mixes well in a shaker usually has soy lecithin, venom does not so you just need to treat it like a tug toner :P

  • Haven't purchased from BS Supplements but am fairly satisfied buying Venom.
Anyone yet sampled their 4KG SoyProtein Isolate(86.4%) offered at$60.01.

  • +2

No wonder it tasted so good, it was all the extra cr@p in it. Very angry with the company. Can't believe they are still deceiving people.

  • For anyone that was still giving NB the benefit of the doubt…lab tested results now in -
    http://ausbb.com/bodybuilding-supplements/23974-nobull-prote…

Stay away unless you want some overpriced Sustagen equivalent. Bloody BS artists!!
