Hi. Can people offer any suggestions where I can get foam to sleep on or where I can buy it cheap?
Where Can I Get Cheap Foam to Sleep on While Camping?
Comments
Rather pricey the old clark rubber. I'm just looking for an old piece of foam that's comfy to sleep on. The kind that I can dig up from a dumpster or someone would be willing to give away.

$16.95
- going to CR probably beats spending your time searching and ultimately sleeping on trash.
Go to the back of a carpet store - you'll find rolls of underlay in the dumpster.
Ask at your local op shop. Otherwise just spring for a cheap camping mat. At least they won't come complete with fleas or lice or other nasties.
Clark Rubber or (we found ours at) Army Disposals. Special rolled up blue foam stuff; works a treat. Cannot recall how much it was but it certainly wasn't expensive. You could pick up some cardboard sheeting too; that works almost as well… and costs nothing.
I remember my hubby doing the very same research a couple of years ago and Clark Rubber actually very expensive! We ended up buying a cheap mattress from Sydney's Lounges and Bedding Melbourne. I can also vouch for the mats from Ray's Tent city… we bought a couple of these for our girls to go camping with the Girl Guides.
clark rubber…
