Your service will be automatically setup to use 4G, and where 4G is not available it will select 3G.
Interesting, the link URL on the front page says 3g but it redirects to the 4g page. Looks like Vaya is pushing into 4g and not taking any more 3g signups.
Strange choice…
If I were Vaya, I'd have kept Vaya as the "Premium" service with 4G and LC as the "Budget" service 3G only..
Now they're cannibalising themselves!
Vaya is more like a full scale ISP now with home phone and ADSL broadband. Maybe their intention is to buy the customers rather than the brand?
Why not just shunt new customers to Vaya than?
The new pricing structure is slightly lower (before discount) on LC, but only just.
Probably the same reason Proctor & Gamble have thirty different varieties of washing powder;

I read on whirlpool that you can still get the old 3G plans until the end of this month (ie. 31/07/2013), but you will need to contact them directly and ask for it as you can't do it online signing up.
EDIT: After re-reading the whirlpool thread it looks like that one of the conditions is that you must also activate the sim before 31/07/2013. From Whirlpool: LC Support Hotline Ph:(07) 3038 3068.
What does that even mean?
