    Got through to the end of the check out at payment and it said what I ordered (the pear cider) was out of stock.

    It would be better if these were held in your system once they are in your cart. That is what a shopping cart is for, in a bricks and mortar shop that is the equivalent of someone taking something out of my shopping cart on the way to the till!
