Crazy Dave is the Doc Brown of a new generation in Plants Vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time, an appropriate title for the eagerly-anticipated sequel in more ways than one.

If anyone could figure out the mysteries of time travel, it's the mad botanist who saved the world from zombie infestation through vegetation. In what is surely an effort to escape his horticultural prowess, the zombies have launched an assault on the time stream, likely figuring it was the one place they were safe. They were wrong.

    Pretty sure that PvZ2 is currently freemium based, so it will be free indefinitely.

    Sorry, I didn't realise this one was freemium after purchasing the original game when I first bought an iPhone… Sure beats getting stuck on candy crush I guess..

    Its freemium but at least you can get to all levels for free. And most plants are free.

    Scrolling through the in-app purchases this could turn out very expensive indeed, for an iPad game. It looks like they are going to wring every dollar they can from you - you have to buy plants? And now keys?
