Xbox One Pre-Order

I'd like to pre-order one of these for hubby's birthday, any suggestions on where I can do that for the best price?

    Most stores will only take a deposit right now, JB is $10 and I think EB is $50. Harvey Norman will take an online pre-order with no deposit. As for actual pricing, everyone is around the $599 RRP with some one or two dollars less. Remember that your pre-orders are almost always refundable should you change your mind or see it cheaper somewhere else but they won't match it.

    Make sure you get in sooner, rather than later. Australian stores have already filled their day one allocation of PS4 consoles, and some retailers in America are running out of Xbox One allocations (I think Best Buy and Amazon)

    My advice is to pre-order it now at your closest/most convenient store that will allow you to cancel and get money back. That way if someone announces lower price and they have stock still you can just cancel your pre-order and go to them.

    I wouldn't get it at all if this is a surprise present; unless he has told you that he would rather an Xbox One over a PS4. Otherwise it is very likely he would prefer a PS4.

      i'm pretty sure a wife would know what kind of gaming system her husband wants/likes without going into details to randoms like us…

      I can't imagine too many guys being upset if their wives surprised them with a next-gen console, no matter which one it was…
