Dear Friends

After almost four years, we are sad to announce that our Williamstown Books store will be closing in one month, as a long-term planned redevelopment of our building has finally begun.

We've absolutely loved being a part of the great community out at Willi and we will keep an eye out for another possible location for a Book Grocer in the area.

In the meantime, we need to clear out all our stock - and bookcases.

All our books are now priced to sell out at $5 each.

Plus, our 'Billy' bookcases are also for sale, and we will be readying these for collection by lucky purchasers as they empty. $50 per bookcase - please register your interest in store.

    It's a shame so many people turn to the scummy foreign book companies who use tax avoidance schemes instead of using local companies.

      "Scummy foreign book companies who use tax avoidance schemes"? Sorry, no. This is the market (and Australian consumers) responding to the archaic way in which books are published and sold in Australia.

      What you mean is that it's a shame that the Australian government insists on bizarre parallel importation laws which make books an unaffordable luxury for the majority of Australians.
