Credit Card charges for Professional Services - iTunes, GraysOnline for $1.00

Can someone tell me if these are fraudulent charges?
Checked my credit card balance this week to find I'm owing $5.00.
I queried the bank and they said these are all listed as "professional services".
Three $1.00 payments to Itunes and then a further two payments of $1.00 to Grays online Australia.
I have not purchased anything from these stores recently!
What should I do? anyone else had these "Professional service" chargers?

relax.. those charges will disappear within 3-5 working days. Its used for authorization purposes only. to verify that you have entered a legit credit card.

    • That's a relief, thanks I can relax now

    • It always makes me wonder why they don't charge $0.01 instead of $1.00. It will still serve the same function.

      • It is easier to reconcile 1$ than 1cent.

Pennytel do low figures, usually lower then 30c, which not only verifies your card, they also get you to enter the figure as verification that you have access to the card statements.

Op said he hasn't made purchases from either iTunes or Grays for awhile, so I'd be wondering why they've charged him now? Also why would they need multiple charges? I'd be disputing them with the bank if it's been more then a week.
