Camera for Youtubing (rx100 specs equivalent)

Hi ozbargainers,

I'm looking for a camera for making video primarily and taking stills secondarily.

I will be filming indoor mostly so ideally whatever i get should be reasonable at low light.

rx100 seems to have good low light specs as well as good video function.

What other options should i consider.

Also, the cheaper the better as it means more money to spend on tripor, mic, lighting etc.

Thanks for that. The video sums up what I'm looking for. External mic jack would be nice but I don't think. There are any still cameras with one.

When you say stills, do you mean you're looking for a compact camera or a DSLR?
Most mid-level DSLRs have a mic jack.
What's your budget?

looking for compact. due to simplicity and portability.
my budget is ~$500-600. Would be happy to pay less but willing to consider higher price for more function. (upto $1000)
