I need a place in Sydney around Randwick or in the city that could install a new charging port. I went to one place and they wanted to charge $185, but for me that sounded a bit dear.
Could someone suggest a shop that could possibly do this for a better price?

If you haven't taken part of the track with you when you've broken them out of the motherboard, fixing them shouldn't be too expensive. I'd say around $50 each.

It wouldn't be that absurd to try fix it yourself. With so many resources available online, it shouldn't take too long. DC laptop jacks get up to about $30 which isn't that costly.
Ive got 2 laptops with the same problem. They are cheapies so not worth fixing, one is being used as a htpc, the other is gathering dust. But I would also like to know if there are any place that do this for a reasonable price, but in Perth.
