Fun Weekend Projects?

I've been wanting to start a weekend project (hopefully free or cheap) to do with electronics. I have an old iMac which I could use. Any ideas or any cool projects someone on here has done?

          It is painfully slow with a power pc processor and I'm not using it so I might as well do something with it
