Its a family members birthday coming up soon and wanted to buy them a female-friendly two-wheeler.
Preferred specs:
- 10 gears or more but not essential.
- Handle light off-road, but mostly for bike-paths, suburban riding.
- Female friendly.
- Trendy looking.
- Costs less than $500.
Any pointers in brands and models would be appreciated.
I initially thought you were advertising something else with that title and even some of the specs…
Anyway, please avoid the ultra cheapies from KMart, Big W, etc. Just Google upside down forks to see why. They are usually very heavy as well.
Assuming you want to avoid the second hand market, just visit some of your local bike shops and see what they have on offer. Also check out Cell Bikes and other online retailers. Any bike online is supposedly easy to put together but budget another $100 in case you need some assistance from that bike shop you shopped at then bought online.
