    The game looks amazing.

    Unfortunately it looks like its retaining the blurry jagged look from GTA IV. No Anti aliasing :(

      i didn't really notice that, still i do agree it looks amazing! The driving and shooting looks really slick!

      Hardly surprising, AA is very computationally expensive. Something has to give.

        Actually it has nothing to do with that, people hacked AA into GTA IV but it didn't work that well. It did make it look like a completely different game though, almost real life.

        The main reason it won't work is the engine, from memory its because it has deferred lighting etc.

        Either way there are ways for them to implement some AA to help (I think FXAA etc works here), or even just allow us to double the resolution which would be insanely expensive to process but it at least gives us the option.

        Who knows, they might pull something like that off for the PC release.

        Its just unfortunate that some developers don't understand how to make a nice looking game.

        Having lower quality graphics with anti aliasing looks much better then higher quality graphics that are jagged and blurry. (Compare how Half Life 2 has aged compared to a similar game of that time)

        Either way its probably only to take about 10 minutes for me to forget these issues and enjoy the game.

          hopefully pc release, don't forget we are pushing these consoles alot these days :)
          P.S I hope they get off there asses and port the games themselves for once, PC should still remain a major platform despite its pro's and cons.

          I think they will probably hire an outside company, which isn't always a bad thing depending on who that is.

          The engine is made for the 360 and ps3 though, its never going to be a great port for this reason.

          Ps4/one changes this, engines made for these consoles will will the same on PC.

          Much closer yes, but not the same. If XBone doesn't support OpenGL their are still shooting themselves in the foot. There are lots of other smaller issues also.

          Your point is important but not relevant though.

          Some of the best games avaliable are Directx, having OpenGL or not doesn't change how it will play on PC.

          Depends on your definition of PC. I was thinking of how PS4, Linux, OSX, Android, iOS, ChromeOS, FirefoxOS and Windows all support OpenGL. Only one left out is XBox (Wii U has an OpenGL based system).

          Also DirectX is not an exquivalent to OpenGL, Direct3D is. DirectX includes a lot of other stuff that will have to be rewritten for any other platform.

          Bear in mind, over the course of the lifespan of XBone/PS4 I expect the 'PC' to change a lot.

    I don't tend to pre-order games but the date is getting close…..i think i will hit the button! Which console tho guys? XBOX or PS3… Apparently RAGE Engine games look better on XBOX, do you think thats still the case??

      Rockstar confirmed the gameplay footage trailer are all from PS3 version. Maybe PS3 is better than Xbox 360 for GTA V?

          i assume you have the xbox for Halo?

          Can't think of any other worthy exclusives.

          Yeah, but im not a halo die hard….still yet to get reach(not sure i have that) and 4. I bought the Xbox first as it was still cheaper than the PS3 at the time. Later they released the PS3 Slim and it became more affordable to have one. I mainly game on PC, so consoles are usually for console exclusives :)

    how amazing does the new video look, cant wait to play the game..

    anyone ordering the specail edition version.. JB HI FI not available, can get it from EB Games - $120,
    playasia.com was $80 with a free game Borderlands 2.. cheapest postage was $35.
    i ended up getting it from ozgameshop for $80 with free postage, just hope it doesnt take them ages to post…
